Remy did his first running race today and came in Remy did his first running race today and came in 4th place, winning his age group and coming in after 9 and 10 year olds! It was a tricky hilly 1k trail through the woods, and at the finish line Remy said, “My heart is beating so fast! When’s the next race?” I came in 4th in the women’s field for the 5k. It was my first trail running race and I think I’m hooked! I did not expect to learn as much about sailing (a I did not expect to learn as much about sailing (and myself) as I did on a trip to Annapolis this past spring. I thought maybe a few knots, some nautical lingo, and enough to teach my son how to handle an Opti. I booked this trip, but I did not see it coming.
