Are you interested in meeting Gregg Marston, president of VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations for coffee on Thursday, Sept. 4?
Gregg is a global nomad who made the unexpected jump from a successful career as a financial advisor to heading a successful worldwide tour operator based in Vermont. Gregg has grown VBT’s collection of itineraries into one of the most diverse and far-reaching in the business, adding walking and domestic itineraries to their massive portfolio of 52 vacations in 27 countries.
All VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations are led by local residents who will provide insight into the region’s customs and traditions, as well as help facilitate authentic cultural experiences. Continually recognized as the best value in active travel, VBT’s tour prices include all accommodations, use of custom bicycles or walking poles, many meals, two expert local trip leaders, unique sightseeing and cultural activities, and on-tour vehicle support.
VBT offers 50 deluxe, small group bicycling and walking tours in 26 different countries, including destinations throughout Europe, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Vietnam, Peru and the United States. Each trip includes all accommodations, many meals, two expert local Trip Leaders, unique sightseeing and cultural activities and on-tour vehicle support. Unlike other companies, VBT also includes roundtrip international airfare from over 30 U.S. cities and select Canadian cities for all overseas vacations.
VBT just announced six new itineraries for 2015. We’d love to fill you in. The meeting will only take 30 minutes and we can come to you.
Came across your profile on LinkedIn but dropping you a note here. I just started a new travel company! My company, Travendly, offers group travel trips where everyone on the trip lives in the same city (i.e. NYCers travel with NYCers) as a way to make new friends in your city. Writing because it seems your site (offmetro) could be a perfect fit/partnership for us! Travendly (and myself) are based in NYC; would absolutely love to sit down with you over a coffee and chat (if you’re in NYC too)! If not, a phone convo would work! What do you think?
This is bill Reuther from discovery bicycle tours. We met in Maryland several years ago. Here is a link to a blog post I wrote about riding hills on a bike. Please feel free to tweet it, etc. and please follow me on Twitter. Thanks!
Cheers, bill reuther
Just saw your terrific pieces for Thrillist on upstate NY fall visits. I hope you get a chance to come experience Manitoga http://www.visitmanitoga.org here in Garrison, NY. Thrillist has mentioned us before, but I do not believe you yourself have been here. Call me to arrange a visit and a conversation. I am sure you will be inspired by this place.
All the best,
