Lauren is an American journalist based in New York City. Her writing has appeared in various online and print publications, including Los Angeles Magazine, Hearst’s Diversion, BizBash.com, and Grist.org. Lauren’s work can also be found on NBC.com and NBC’s Today Show, as well as on PeterGreenberg.com, Disney’s Family.com, and The Huffington Post.
Lauren co-founded offMetro.com, a travel site featuring car-free getaway ideas from the New York and San Francisco. oM has been featured in various places, including the New York Times, Lonely Planet, Cosmopolitan, Gotham, Thrillist, and TreeHugger.
Lauren was born in Manhattan, raised in Los Angeles, and has lived in Paris, Rome, and London. Her grandfather Mel Matison, once a short story author and Esquire contributor, posthumously passed on his appetite for writing, for which she is grateful.
